For Immediate Release:

Seattle, WA (March 11, 2011) - Heidi Fish Swimwear, an international designer swimwear leader, and one of the 100 business and community leaders in West Seattle will be 'locked up' behind bars to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association of King County as a part of this year's West Seattle Lock-Up on April 7, 2011, hosted by the new owners of Angelina's Family Italian Restaurant, Skip and Allison Rich. Heidi and volunteer jailbirds are being accused of having a big heart for Jerry's Kids and will 'serve time' while raising 'bail' to fight neuromuscular disease. They will also have the opportunity to mingle and network with other friendly felons in the business community while raising money for the hundreds of men, women and children with neuromuscular disease in the King County (not to mention West Seattle Fire Fighters will be their arresting officers).

The Muscular Dystrophy Association's mission is to provide 'help and hope' to people and families living with neuromuscular disease. MDA invests millions of dollars into worldwide research, with some of the most exciting research happening right here in the Seattle area. Last month, a life saving treatment was discovered for Pompe, one of the 43 neuromuscular diseases. The MDA community believes that this is just the beginning of more phenomenal research breakthroughs, and it is all thanks to the hard work of those 'big hearts' in our community! Children with neuromuscular disease also have the opportunity to attend MDA summer camp, known as the 'best week of the year,' which is funded through local fundraising events like the West Seattle Lock-Up.

The West Seattle "Lock-Up" is yet another charitable cause that Heidi Fish Designer Swimwear is a part of as the company continues to help raise money for charitable causes across Seattle and West Seattle communities each year. Supporters can help meet her $2000 bail for the event by making contributions on her donating page at

Heidi was recently published in 2011 editions of Sports Illustrated on-line catalog, Krown magazine, and Russia's high fashion Mon Octpob publication.
